Is the S78 really ₦119k better? Here’s what I found after testing both during Lagos blackout.” Quick Specs Comparison |  | Zealot S78 | BoomBest LN-716BT | | Price | ₦175,000 | ₦56,000 | | Battery | 16000mAh | ~3600mAh | | Power | 80W | 10W | | Bass Claim | “Super Bass” | “Super Deep Bass” | Bass Test - Small Room BoomBest at 60% volume: decent bass, clean sound. 5 NEPA survival gadgets under ₦20k tested by Nigerian students. Zealot S53, Oraimo 20000mAh, mist fan, DP bulb, solar torch. Real blackout tests + Jumia prices + hostel hacks for UNN, LASU, UI students 2026.

Image
NEPA took light 6 times while I wrote this article.  Last month UNN had a 3-day blackout during exam week. LASU hostel went 48hrs without power. If you’re a Nigerian student, you already know: NEPA is not your friend. I spent ₦20,000 testing gadgets through real blackouts. These 5 saved my semester. No generator noise. No ₦25k fuel bill. Just smart, cheap survival. Here’s the full kit — all under ₦20k plus on Jumia: ### **1. Zealot S53 Speaker-Powerbank — ₦35,000**  **Why it’s #1**: It’s a 4400mAh  10W bass speaker in one.  **Real Test**: During UNN’s 3-day blackout, this charged my phone 4x, my roommate’s phone 2x, AND played music for 8hrs straight. Still had 20% left. **Student Hack**: Use it to charge laptops via USB-C. Saved me during online test when NEPA died 10 mins before submission. **The Math**: ₦14k vs ₦25k generator + ₦5k fuel weekly. You do the math. **Buy Link**:  https://www.jumia.com.ng/zealot-s53-mini-speaker-portable-wireless-column-wat...
