Zealot S61 Bluetooth Speaker ₦36k: Worth It vs JBL Flip 6 + Sony in Nigeria?

Zealot S61 Bluetooth speaker is ₦36k on Jumia. At that price, it’s competing with JBL Flip 6 ₦78k and Sony XB33 ₦85k. Question is: does the bass, battery, and build justify ₦36k? I tested it for 1 week in Lagos heat + NEPA blackout.


1. Sound + Bass Test @ ₦36k  

For ₦36k, you expect real bass.  

 •  Bass: Deep, thumping bass. Not JBL level, but better than ₦20k speakers. Good for Afrobe.  

 •  Volume: 24W output fills a small room + backyard party. No distortion till 90%  

 •  Afrobeats test: Wizkid + Burna Boy bass came through clean  


2. Battery Test – NEPA Blackout  

Zealot claims 12hrs. My test: 9-10hrs at 70% volume with bass boost on. That’s 2 NEPA blackout sessions on one charge. Charges phones too via USB port.


3. Build + Waterproof  

IPX5 splash proof. Survived rain during Lagos downpour. Rubber + fabric build feels premium for ₦36k. Not metal like JBL, but doesn’t feel cheap.
