₦15,000 vs ₦7,000: I Tested Both Fans in UNILAG Hostel. Only One Survived NEPA
I wasted ₦15,000. Don't be like me.
Last semester, NEPA took light for 8 hours daily in my UNILAG hostel. I bought a "premium" ₦15,000 rechargeable fan from Computer Village. It died in 3 months. Battery couldn't survive Lagos heat.
This month, I tested the ₦7,000 DP 2000mAh Mini Fan for 7 days straight. Same hostel. Same 43°C heat. Same NEPA wahala.
Here’s what happened:
**₦15,000 "Premium" Fan vs ₦7,000 DP Fan — REAL TEST:**
| **Test** | **₦15k Fan** | **₦7k DP Fan** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Battery Life** | 4hrs on Low | 8hrs on Low |
| **Charging Time** | 6hrs | 3hrs |
| **Speeds** | 1 speed | 3 speeds |
| **Survived 7 Days** | ❌ Died Day 90 | ✅ Still working |
| **Size** | Bulky | Pocket size |
| **Price** | ₦15,000 | ₦7,000 |
**Winner: ₦7,000 DP Fan.** Saved me ₦8,000 = 2 months MTN data.
**Why ₦7k Beats ₦15k:**
1. **Battery Scam**: Expensive fans use cheap 18650 batteries. DP uses 2000mAh Li-ion that actually lasts.
2. **Overheating**: Big fans overheat in 40°C Lagos rooms. Small DP fan runs cooler.
3. **NEPA Reality**: You need 8hrs minimum for overnight. ₦15k fan gives 4hrs = You wake up sweating at 3am.
**Student Proof:** I'm in Mariere Hall. Tested during March heat wave. Roommates now borrowing my ₦7k fan while their ₦15k fans are dead.
**Where to Buy Original ₦7k DP Fan:**
